Clean Architecture and Domain-Driven Design
How to separate business rules from technical details to build software that evolves without breaking.

Clean Architecture and Domain-Driven Design (DDD) are foundational approaches to building maintainable, scalable, high-quality software. Both separate business concerns from technical details, making it easier for software to evolve over time.
Combining Clean Architecture with DDD produces systems where business rules are independent of frameworks, databases and specific technologies. The result is code that is easier to test, easier to maintain and aligned with the language of the domain.
Today these principles are combined with microservices, CQRS (Command Query Responsibility Segregation) and Event Sourcing to build robust distributed systems. The point is not to apply every pattern, but to choose the ones that reduce the complexity of the specific domain.
